Microwave Preheating Before Compound for Extrusion
The rubber extrusion process is one of the most power-demanding processes in the rubber
industry. The extrusion process is what brings about the final shape of the product.
Instead of directly resorting to extrusion, preheating with a microwave heating
technology can give rise to multiple benefits.
Preheating of rubber compounds enables smoother operation during the extrusion process
and also results in better end-product quality. The conventional heating process alters
the physical properties of the material to some extent. However, microwave preheating is
a quick process that doesn’t alter the essential physical attributes of the rubber
compound.
- Heats the rubber strip in a uniform way for the feeding.
- Gives you more control over the extruded profile due to the increased flow of the
material.
- Electrical controls enable operators to feed the material from afar.
- Reduces the need for excessive loads to extrude the material into the desired shape.

- With Microwave Preheater before putting into mold.
- Increase Production capacity of Existing Plants by 30 to 40%.
- Reduction in molding time saves electricity.
- Instant start & stop.
- Easy to operate.
- Microwave technology heats rubber from inside – out resulting
into uniform vulcanization of rubber during molding.
- Improve material flow ability with in mold resulting in better
finish & higher mechanical strength.
- Improves mold life.
